"I am a very prolific, self-motivated painter. I feel that each painting is going to be the best painting I have ever done, so painting for me is an adventure with lots of excitement." - Jerry Wray

First, Jerry poured paint on stretched canvases, letting the paint run and mix.

Then she tried pouring paint on unstretched canvas, hung on a grid made with poles, leaning against a wall at about 45 degrees.

Later she developed several different grids to produce the Rainbow Series, which diverged into the Praise Series and the Imaginary Flowers Series.

The Meadows Museum of Shreveport, Louisiana, acquired one of Jerry Wray’s pourings for their permanent collection.
